Cyber Software Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Research. Dive deep into existing and emerging technologies. You will work alongside one or more of our teams to understand threats, evolve capabilities and innovate new solutions.
- Design, prototype, build and test. Challenge your creativity. Our customers have novel requirements. The tools you build will ultimately help protect lives and our National Security.
- Advise. You will act as a trusted advisor, in a position that demands integrity. There are roles available for a wide range of experience and responsibilities.
What You’ll Bring:
- You will apply your experience to mission-led programmes. You will have skills in a number of the areas below:
Software analysis and reverse engineering of compiled or interpreted code that could be obfuscated or defensively structured in various tools such as Ghidra or IDA pro.
- Linux-based operating system internals, security architecture and hardware abstraction.
- Use of virtualisation, emulation and containerisation for accelerated development, automated testing and DevOps.
- Use and deployment of AI-based systems for software development, analysis or Agentic solutions.
- Engineering software from design to delivery in modern IDEs and languages, using Agile delivery.
- Creating tested and testable code. Integrating with automated verification systems, CI and CD pipelines.

Location
Romsey – a unique Manor House site near the New Forest and south coast, with on-site parking and gym. A free minibus service runs between Romsey station and the office. Relocation packages are available for suitable candidates.
