We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare and early childhood education within a nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental milestones
- Supervising children during playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times
- Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Organising daily routines and maintaining a structured environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Monitoring and recording children's progress, behaviour, and achievements
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting
- Assisting with the organisation of nursery events and outings, including driving when necessary
- Supporting new staff members through mentoring and leadership roles as required
- Managing resources efficiently to maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for children
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Demonstrable management or leadership experience within childcare environments
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Previous experience in childcare roles that involve working directly with children aged 0–5 years
