We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed receptionist/practice manager to join our predominantly NHS practice.
Responsibilities and Duties
Receptionist Duties
· Welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
· Manage appointment scheduling and diary coordination
· Answer telephone calls, emails, and patient enquiries
· Register new patients and maintain accurate patient records
· Process payments, issue receipts, and manage financial transactions
· Handle NHS and/or private patient paperwork and claims
· Coordinate patient recalls and follow-up appointments
· Maintain reception and waiting areas to a high standard
· Liaise with clinicians regarding appointment changes and emergencies
· Ensure confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and patient privacy regulations
Practice Manager Duties
· Oversee the daily operations of the dental practice
· Monitor practice performance, KPIs, and patient satisfaction
· Ensure compliance with CQC, HTM, GDPR, and health & safety regulations
· Manage stock ordering and supplier relationships
· Handle complaints professionally and efficiently
· Implement and maintain practice policies and procedures
· Coordinate maintenance, equipment servicing, and practice facilities
· Assist with marketing initiatives and patient growth strategies
· Support clinicians and owners with operational improvements
Skills required
- Familiar with all areas of dentistry
- Able to use Software of Excellence at an advanced level
- Able to use Word and Excel
- Fluent in English
- Willing and able to learn
- Responsible and Flexible
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £16.00-£17.00 per hour
Experience:
- Dental receptionist: 1 year (required)
