We’re seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join a reputable team in Bathgate. This role offers a balanced 4 on 4 off shift pattern, providing ample time off while maintaining a steady work schedule. The position boasts a competitive hourly rate of up to £20.35, which is notably higher than the regional average for similar roles.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Performing routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of HGVs.
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults to ensure vehicles meet operational standards.
- Conducting pre-MOT inspections and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records of all work undertaken.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient workshop operations.
What You’ll Need
- Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in an HGV workshop environment.
- Strong diagnostic skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- A valid UK driving licence; an HGV licence would be advantageous.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
