Duties
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements and reports using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Manage accounts payable processes by verifying invoices, processing payments, and ensuring timely disbursements.
- Oversee financial accounting activities including journal entries, ledger reconciliation, and month-end closing procedures.
- Support financial management initiatives by monitoring budgets, forecasting cash flow, and assisting with financial analysis.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing best practices in accounting procedures and fostering professional development.
- Collaborate across departments to improve financial workflows and implement new accounting software solutions as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.
- Strong understanding of financial services industry standards and practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management, including accounts payable and general ledger activities.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring or training team members is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
