As we continue to expand our student recruitment activities, we are recruiting two motivated and target-driven Student Recruitment Sales Executives to join our London team.
Job Overview
The Student Recruitment Sales Executive will be responsible for engaging with prospective students, understanding their study goals and converting qualified enquiries into university applications and enrolments.
This is a full-time, office-based and target-driven sales position. The successful candidate will manage new, existing and returning student leads through telephone calls, WhatsApp, email and face-to-face consultations.
The role requires a strong combination of sales ability, persuasive communication, consistent follow-up and accurate CRM management. The successful candidate will work closely with FBA’s admissions team to provide prospective students with a professional and well-managed journey from initial enquiry to enrolment.
Two positions are available.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contact new, existing and returning student leads by telephone, WhatsApp and email.
- Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries generated through FBA’s marketing campaigns, website, branches, events and referral channels.
- Conduct telephone, online and face-to-face consultations with prospective students.
- Understand each prospective student’s educational background, career objectives, course interests and personal circumstances.
- Provide clear information about available universities, courses, campuses, study patterns, entry requirements and admissions processes.
- Explain the general Student Finance application process using current and approved information.
- Identify suitable and eligible prospective students and refer qualified cases to the admissions team.
- Convert student enquiries into consultations, applications and final enrolments.
- Build professional relationships with prospective students and maintain regular contact throughout their admissions journey.
- Follow up consistently with students who have not completed their applications or provided the required documents.
- Re-engage previous applicants, inactive leads and returning students for current and future intakes.
- Handle common concerns and objections professionally while maintaining accurate and transparent communication.
- Achieve agreed daily, weekly and monthly targets for calls, consultations, qualified students, applications and enrolments.
- Maintain accurate records of all calls, messages, outcomes, follow-up dates and student progress in the company CRM.
- Ensure every assigned lead has an accurate status and clearly recorded next action.
- Work closely with the admissions team to monitor application progress, interviews, offers and enrolments.
- Participate in FBA's commercials, events, open days, seminars, workshops and community outreach activities when required.
- Complete other reasonable student recruitment and business-development duties related to the position.
Requirements
Essential requirements
- Previous experience in sales, telesales, business development, student recruitment, education consultancy or another target-driven customer-facing role.
- Demonstrable ability to convert enquiries or leads into customers, applications or confirmed outcomes.
- Strong telephone communication and consultation skills.
- Confidence in making a high volume of outbound calls and managing inbound enquiries.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong follow-up, negotiation and objection-handling skills.
- Self-motivated, resilient and comfortable working towards individual and team targets.
- Good administrative, organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Experience using a CRM, sales-management system or customer database.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, email and online communication platforms.
- A professional, ethical and student-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work full-time from FBA’s London office.
Desirable requirements
- Experience in UK university student recruitment or higher education admissions.
- Knowledge of UK university courses, entry requirements and admissions processes.
- General knowledge of Student Finance England and the student funding application process.
- Experience working with Home, mature, working-adult or non-traditional students.
- Experience using social media, events, referrals or community engagement to generate prospective-student enquiries.
- An existing understanding of application, interview, offer and enrolment stages.
- Relevant higher education or professional qualification.

Earnings above the basic salary are performance-related and are not guaranteed. Commission and bonuses are subject to FBA’s applicable scheme, qualifying conditions and payment terms.
