Walters have an exciting opportunity for a Demolition Site Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the smooth running of demolition sites in South Wales, reporting to the Demolition Contracts Manager.
Walters are a market leading civil engineering and demolition contractor employing over 1,000 people. We are members of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC) and specialise in the self-delivery of high-quality demolition projects for a range of public and private sector clients. We are seeking a hands-on, ambitious, professional and dynamic individual who wants to join our team and be part of our continued success. The successful applicant will be highly motivated and practical with a strong demolition industry track record

KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Ensuring a “safety first” attitude underpins all operations undertaken for the Company
Assist in developing demolition sequences
Prepare health and safety and environmental management plans
Develop risk assessments and method statements and update as required
Plan, monitor and review progress
Ensure appropriate resources are arranged in a timely manner
Identify issues early to allow effective mitigation
Maintain good relations with clients, suppliers and stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS AND CAPABILITIES
Strong leadership skills
Track record of management experience within the demolition industry.
Good organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills – communicating, listening, negotiating
Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. MS Project preferrable
Strong commercial acumen
Resilience when working to fixed deadlines and managing risk
CCDO Demolition Manager preferrable.
SMSTS
Full UK Driving Licence
