Pink Tile Education is recruiting for a specialist SEMH school in Chichester that supports children and young people aged 2–19 years . We are looking for a confident Teaching Assistant to join the team this September, working primarily with primary-aged pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support.

Based in Chichester .
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
£100 per day.

This specialist SEMH school in Chichester provides education and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 2–19 years . Pupils have a range of social, emotional and mental health needs, and many have experienced significant barriers to learning.
Although this role will focus on supporting primary-aged pupils , you will be joining a school that offers a consistent and nurturing approach across all age groups. Classes are kept small, with a teacher and additional Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants , allowing every child to receive the individual support they need.
Support pupils with SEMH needs and additional behavioural challenges.
Build positive, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe and engaged.
Respond calmly and confidently to challenging or dysregulated behaviour.
Use positive behaviour management strategies to encourage emotional regulation.
Help pupils develop social skills, resilience and independence.
Work closely with teachers and the wider staff team to provide consistent support throughout the school day.
Celebrate progress, no matter how small, and help pupils achieve their individual goals.
Has experience supporting individuals with mental health or behavioural needs.
Is confident managing challenging and dysregulated behaviour.
Understands the importance of consistency, patience and building strong relationships.
Can stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
Has experience working with children or young people in education, care, youth work or similar settings (desirable but not essential).
Is looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant role in Chichester .
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
