Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Musical Theatre/Dance Teacher to inspire and educate students in the art of musical theatre and dance. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that foster creativity, confidence, and technical skill, while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver comprehensive musical theatre and dance lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Choreograph routines for performances, showcases, or competitions, ensuring they are suitable for students' abilities.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages student confidence, creativity, and enjoyment of the performing arts.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to aid development.
- Organise rehearsals and coordinate with students to prepare for performances or examinations.
- Maintain a safe studio environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum content that aligns with organisational goals.
- Promote positive behaviour and teamwork among students during all sessions.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and community events as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching or performing in musical theatre or dance is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of dance techniques, choreography, vocal training, and stage performance skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of motivating students and fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Creative mindset with the ability to adapt teaching styles to suit different age groups and abilities.
- Relevant qualifications in dance, theatre arts, or education are preferred but not essential; passion for the performing arts is a must.
- A positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for inspiring others through the performing arts.
