Monday – Thursday 39 hour working pattern
Perry of Oakley Ltd, a manufacturer of bulk materials handling equipment requires a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join their Production department. The company has a strong 70+ year heritage in the agricultural and biomass sectors as well as other allied industries. They have been awarded the SHAPA Exporter of the Year as well as being one of the UK’s top 100 SMEs in recent years.
This is an excellent opportunity for employment on a permanent contract in a successful growing manufacturing environment on a 4 day week.
Key Skills
The ideal candidate will be used to physically demanding work. They need to be keen to work, be energetic and willing to take a proactive approach to the requirements of a busy engineering environment.
The role would suit either
- An experienced mechanical fitter
- A trainee mechanical fitter with some experience of working with hand tools
The pay will reflect the level of experience
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience in building mechanical assemblies is desirable.
- Have the right attitude: listens to instructions, cares about the quality of their work and is eager to learn.

- Able to work to deadlines.

Full-time: Monday to Thursday 6.45am to 5pm with 30 mins for lunch. Total of 39 hours a week. Overtime available most weeks.
