Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes, including meats, vegetables, and seafood, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning and develop new grill recipes to enhance our offerings.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal flavour and presentation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy periods.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, well-maintained, and stored correctly after use.
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff on grilling techniques and safety procedures.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required.
