The Opportunity
Our client is an established London-based alternative investment manager with specialist expertise across credit markets. The firm operates a range of investment strategies across hedge fund and private credit, combining a rigorous investment approach with an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture.
Our client is looking for an experienced Head of Operations to take a leading role across the firm's operations, finance and fund management infrastructure.
This is a broad, hands-on position working closely with senior management and the investment team, with significant ownership and visibility across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operational management of the investment firm and its funds.
- Oversee the firm's finance, accounting and financial reporting functions.
- Provide oversight of fund operations, fund accounting and related controls.
- Manage and coordinate key external service providers and counterparties.
- Maintain and enhance the firm's operational and financial control framework.
- Support senior management across business planning, strategic initiatives and operational decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and operational infrastructure.
Candidate Profile
- 8–10+ years' relevant experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, investment manager or similar financial-services environment.
- ACA / ACCA / CA or equivalent qualified.
- Strong experience across financial management, accounting and fund operations.
- Solid understanding of investment funds and the broader alternative investment management environment.
- Experience managing external administrators, auditors, banks and other key service providers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders and to work closely with senior management and investment professionals.
- Strong financial-control, analytical and organisational capabilities.
- Commercially minded, hands-on and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial investment environment.

Pay: From £75,000.00 per year
