Role : Junior Business Analyst - Asset / Wealth management

3-4 days work from client office in Central London

Business Analysis & Requirements
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements from front office, middle office, and back office stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories.
- Support workflow mapping, gap analysis, and process optimisation initiatives.
Investment Operations Support
- Assist in analysing trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, settlement, reconciliation, and corporate actions.
- Support operational teams in identifying issues, root causes, and opportunities for automation.
Front Office & Portfolio Management Support
- Work with portfolio managers and traders to understand investment workflows, order management processes, and data needs.
- Assist in enhancements to OMS/PMS platforms (e.g., Aladdin, Charles River, Bloomberg AIM, SimCorp Dimension).
Project & Change Delivery
- Contribute to project planning, testing cycles (SIT/UAT), and implementation activities.
- Prepare documentation including BRDs, process flows, test scripts, and training materials.
- Track project progress, risks, and dependencies.
Data & Reporting
- Support data quality initiatives across pricing, positions, transactions, benchmarks, and client reporting.
- Assist in producing MI dashboards and operational KPIs.
Essential
- 1-3 years of experience in asset management, wealth management, investment banking, or investment operations.
- Understanding of front office (trading, portfolio management) and/or back office (settlements, reconciliations, corporate actions) processes.
- Familiarity with the trade lifecycle and investment products (equities, fixed income, funds, derivatives).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to document processes, requirements, and workflows clearly.
- Proficiency in Excel; exposure to SQL, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with OMS/PMS platforms (e.g., Aladdin, Charles River, Bloomberg AIM).
- Exposure to Agile delivery (user stories, sprint ceremonies).
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, EMIR, UCITS, ESG reporting).
- Interest in data, automation, and digital transformation.
