Duties
- Assemble eletro-mchanical components and sub-assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions and SMT specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, standard operating procedures and Bill of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate assembly.
- Kitting to a BOM when required.
- Perform inspection and testing of assemblies to ensure compliance and quality requirements.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformances, or process issues in line with quality procedures.
- Maintain and clean and organised work area in line with ESD and health & safety standards
- Ensure all work is completed within specified timescales and targets
- Follow company procedures for traceability, documentation and process control.
- Support continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, efficiency and waste reduction.
- Safely using hand/power tools, precision instruments and test equipment.
- Undertake repetive tasks requiring sustained concentration, including working in seated or standing positions for extend periods, in accordance with role and workstation requirements
Experience
- We welcome applications from both experienced candidates and those looking to begin or develop a career within SMT technology. Previous experience is valued, but equally important is a genuine interest in technology, a practical mindset, and a willingness to learn and develop.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team within a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, engineering or working with complex electro-mechanical systems would be an advantage, but is not essential, as training and development will be provided.
- A practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail and a willingness to learn new technical skills.
- An interest in developing a career within SMT technology and advanced manufacturing.

Pay: £13.50-£14.92 per hour
