Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. The position requires proficiency in TIG welding & Experience in laser welding would be beneficial, sheet metal work, and the use of hand and power tools. A solid understanding of mechanical principles, to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication. Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding & laser welding on various metals, ensuring high-quality welds that meet project specifications
- Fabricate components using sheet metal, hand tools, and power tools with precision and attention to detail
- Assemble fabricated parts accurately, ensuring proper fit and function
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or welding processes
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with standards
- Assist in the maintenance of tools and equipment used in fabrication and welding tasks
Experience
- Proven experience in TIG welding & or laser welding particularly welding techniques
- Strong background in fabrication involving sheet metal and assembly work
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical principles relevant to fabrication processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings,
- Prior experience working with sheet metal or similar materials is highly desirable
- Familiarity with health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment
