Through our youth clubs, holiday programmes and community projects, we help young people develop confidence, resilience, social skills and a sense of belonging.
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Youth Club Sports Coaches to join our team and help deliver high-quality youth provision within schools and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
Youth Club Delivery
· Deliver engaging youth club sessions for children and young people aged 10–16.
· Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where young people can thrive.
· Build positive relationships with participants and act as a role model.
Activity Planning
Plan and deliver a range of activities including:
· Team games
· Sports and physical activity
· Arts and creative projects
· Leadership activities
· Wellbeing sessions
· Life skills workshops
· Social and recreational activities
Safeguarding & Welfare
· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all young people attending sessions.
· Follow Engage Community safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
· Report any concerns promptly through the appropriate channels.
Behaviour Management
· Promote positive behaviour through relationship-based approaches.
· Support young people to develop confidence, communication skills and resilience.
· Manage challenging behaviour professionally and consistently.
Team Collaboration
· Work closely with the Engage Community team to continually improve youth provision.
· Attend training and development opportunities.
· Contribute ideas for new activities and community engagement projects.
Quality Assurance
· Deliver outstanding experiences that encourage young people to return and remain engaged.
· Support monitoring and evaluation of youth club impact.

Financial Package:
- Hourly rate for sports coaching sessions at £15 - £20 per hour. Potential to earn higher.
What You Need to Succeed:
- A passion for sports and a desire to make a difference in the community.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
Essential Requirements:
- Full driving licence.
- Clean DBS check.
- Willingness to work on a self-employed basis.
- Previous experience working in a youth club setting.
