DPS are seeking to recruit a Electrician from ideally a Water/Wastewater or Field Service background to join our busy Service division. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Engineer to join a fast paced and innovative company.
They will primarily be responsible for leading the Electrical activities across the Service & Repair division. Duties will cover electrical installation & service on municipal, industrial and wastewater treatment plants, various pump and control related tasks across several clients in Northern Ireland.
Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Service Manager and providing daily updates on progress
Work with a large range of mechanical/electrical equipment & materials. Including, but not limited to, pumps and specialist equipment in water and wastewater.
Engage with management and service coordinators to ensure smooth preparation and delivery on site
Completing all job-related paperwork and documentation as required
Support DPS trainee programme and develop future electrical engineers to a high standard
Conduct on site activities to a high standard and in line with client expectations
Engage with DPS customers and supply chain in a professional manner.
Site visits as needed to establish customer needs and develop plan for delivery
Maintaining a high standard of service and communication with customers
Ensure service jobs are conducted in compliance with our HSQE policies and procedures and where required, work to site specific method statements and risk assessments
To perform the job in accordance with the company's policies and procedure
To perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time-to-time
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience working in Water/Wastewater or Field Service applications is desirable
Qualified Electrician
ICA experience is highly desirable
Willing to train junior employees/ apprentices
Excellent fault finding/diagnostic skills
Good organisation and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and able to work with minimal supervision
A clean full UK driving licence
