About the Role
We are a busy, high-standard guesthouse seeking an experienced cleaner/housekeeper to join our team. This role suits someone who takes genuine pride in their work and understands what it means to maintain a property to a professional standard.
We are specifically looking for candidates with proven guesthouse or hospitality cleaning experience — this is not an entry-level position, and we ask that only experienced applicants apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to a consistently high standard between stays
- Changing linens, towels, and restocking guest amenities
- Deep cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas
- Reporting maintenance issues or damage promptly
- Managing time efficiently across multiple rooms within tight turnaround windows
- Maintaining cleanliness standards in line with guesthouse policy and health & safety regulations
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a guesthouse, hotel, or professional cleaning role (essential)
- A strong work ethic and genuine pride in delivering a spotless finish
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work efficiently under time pressure
- Good attention to detail — able to spot what others miss
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays where required
