Lettings Apprentice – Oakfield Estate Agents, Hastings
Are you looking to begin an exciting career in property? Oakfield Estate Agents is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Lettings Apprentice to join our busy Hastings team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience within an established high performing agency while completing a recognised Level 3 Housing and Property Management Apprenticeship through Learning Curve Group.
The role
No two days in lettings are the same. You will work alongside our experienced team, learning every stage of the lettings process while providing excellent service to landlords, tenants and prospective applicants.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Answering telephone and email enquiries
- Registering prospective tenants and discussing their property requirements
- Arranging and property viewings
- Keeping applicants updated about suitable properties
- Obtaining viewing feedback
- Assisting with tenancy applications and referencing
- Helping to prepare properties and paperwork for new tenancies
- Supporting the team with general administration
- Updating property and applicant records
- Learning about property management, repairs and legal compliance
- Building positive relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, confident and professional
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable speaking to customers by telephone, email and in person
- Keen to learn and build a long-term career in the property industry
- Reliable, proactive and able to work well as part of a team
- Confident using computers and learning new systems
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be desirable but this is not essential.
Working hours and salary
- 8:30am–5:30pm
- Monday to Saturday, with one day off during the week
- A salary of £16,640 per year
Your apprenticeship
Alongside your role, you will complete the Level 3 Housing and Property Management Apprenticeship with Learning Curve Group. This will help you develop recognised knowledge and skills in areas including property legislation, tenant support, repairs and housing management.
