Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring smooth daily operations. The role is suitable for individuals passionate about hospitality, food preparation, and working in a dynamic team setting.
Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Supporting the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen workspace, including clearing work surfaces and storage areas
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Restocking supplies and ensuring that cleaning materials are readily available for team members
- Maintaining a tidy and safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
- Supporting the overall efficiency of the kitchen during service periods by providing timely assistance where needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or hotel will be beneficial
- Knowledge of health and safety standards within a kitchen setting is preferred but not mandatory
- A proactive attitude with good organisational skills and attention to detail is essential for success in this role
