Pet Supplies & Equestrian Shop Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a Pet Supplies Shop Assistant to join our NEW Pet Supplies & Equestrian Shop. The successful candidate will be confident working in a customer facing role, serving at a checkout, card & cash handling, meeting & greeting customers / processing orders. Must be physically fit & happy to help lift & carry ‘bulk bags’ for customers. This is a great opportunity to join the Yandles team!
Working Hours:
5-days per week (Mon–Fri), 11am–2pm (15-hrs per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels, stocking shelves, stock checks, and controlling stock rotation
- Cash handling & processing card payments using our electronic POS system,
- Merchandising displays
- Welcoming and assisting customers in-store
- Advising customers on pet nutrition and care products
- Planning and maintaining the layout of the shop
- Picking, packing, and processing stock orders
- Answering phone calls
- Pricing, merchandising, and organising product displays
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-presented shop
Desired Qualities:
- Friendly and engaging personality

- Passion for pets, ideally with some knowledge of horses
- Physical fitness
- Retail experience
- Knowledge of pets / equestrian
- Ability to work independently
- Good IT skills
