Job Overview
Bullough's cleaning services are looking for experienced Cleaners to join our team at St Joseph's School, Hebburn.
Shift patterns available 10 hrs per week, 3 pm / 5 pm or 3.30pm / 5.30pm, 15hrs 3pm / 6pm Monday to Friday, this is an all-year-round contract. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across school premises, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for students and staff alike.
Previous experience in school cleaning or janitorial work is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
The rate of pay is £12.85 per hour and is paid weekly into your bank account.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas in accordance with school standards
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Clean windows, door handles, and other high-touch areas regularly to prevent the spread of germs
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the designated supervisor promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in school cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
- Flexibility to work either AM or PM shifts according to operational needs
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
