To support the manager in running a Care Home in accordance with the requirements of Kara Care and all regulatory bodies.
- Assist the Manager to develop and maintain effective care systems and procedures.
- Promote independence and a high quality of life for all residents dependent upon need.
- Facilitate the Kara Care ethos of quality care and management systems at all times.
- Be innovative and flexible in approach to address perceived deficiencies as they arise.
- Assist residents within the home with medication administration and personal care tasks such as washing, dressing and toileting when required
- To assist residents with meal times
- Maintain and monitor all Quality Systems as identified by Kara Care.
- Complete needs assessments, developing and reviewing care plan and risk assessment
- Ensure the home is managed within prescribed financial budgets.
- Provide all data as required by the Manager within prescribed time scales.
- Ensure the home complies with the requirements of the relevant registration and licensing bodies at all times.
- Ensure that the home and its staff comply with all health and safety legislation.
- Support the manager in the recruitment and selection of all staff engaged in the home.
- Promote compliance with the group’s grievance and disciplinary procedures.
- Be responsible for identifying your own development needs.
- Responsibility for the development and introduction of an effective staff supervision and appraisal system.
- Responsibility for identifying staff development and training needs to meet group and legislative objectives.
- To liaise with the multi-disciplinary team and create open channels of communication and referring.
- Create community links to ensure acceptance with the local community.
- Promote the home in such a way as the company deems fit.
- Complete Quality Audits, review and monitor all systems and procedures for best practice.
- Chair meetings and allow open discussion and consultation for the way forward.
- Prepare and present accurate reporting on performance related practice.
- To facilitate change of needs and the consequent care reviews.
