Production QC

ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Since 2014, we have grown to operate four sites across Kent, employing over 1,300 colleagues. We are now looking for a Production QC to join our Quality team and help ensure every product leaving our site meets the highest standards of safety, quality and legality.
About the Role
As a Production QC, you will play a vital role in maintaining quality standards throughout the production process. Working closely with Production and Quality teams, you will carry out quality checks, monitor packaging and labelling compliance, and ensure products consistently meet customer specifications.
Shift- 4 on 4 off- 6.30am-6.30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor product quality, packaging and labelling standards throughout production.
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications, legal requirements and food safety standards.
- Carry out positive release checks and raw material inspections.
- Collect shelf-life samples and complete quality documentation accurately.
- Verify date coding, barcoding and all packaging information.
- Set quality standards on production lines prior to production starting.
- Communicate non-conformances promptly to minimise downtime and product risk.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and food safety compliance.
- Use quality equipment safely and accurately.
What You'll Bring
- Experience working in a production, packhouse or quality environment.
- Knowledge of fresh produce standards (desirable).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
