Field Service Engineer Opportunity – IT and Dental Imaging Focus
About the Role
We are looking for a practical and adaptable Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. This role combines technical field engineering, equipment installation, maintenance, and customer support across a range of dental imaging and technology solutions.
Working at customer sites throughout Great Britain, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting both dental imaging systems and associated technology infrastructure. The position offers a varied workload, regular travel, and ongoing training to support your professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission dental imaging equipment and related technology systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults, both remotely and on-site.
- Carry out preventative maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades.
- Support customers with system operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Work closely with the service desk and wider engineering team to deliver excellent service.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to agreed service standards.
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a technical support, field service, engineering, or installation role.
- Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, or electronic systems.
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage their workload effectively.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and equipment.
Requirements
- Technical aptitude with experience working on electronic, engineering, or IT-based systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
- Residence within a commutable distance of Gillingham, Kent.
