Your role is to maintain and repair all equipment safely and efficiently, both on the company’s anaerobic digestion facilities, and its customers’, ensuring the plants remain on-line and available with the minimum possible downtime. Working at the West Birmingham AD Facility as well as supporting the rest of the portfolio as required for reactive maintenance as well as being part of the wider maintenance team for planned programs as required.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· L· Liaise with Site managers to deliver effective support on reactive maintenance tasks
· Responsible for all operational equipment and machinery including, but not limited to front end processing, pumping technology, digester and ancillary equipment, heating circuit and pasteurisation processes
· Provide maintenance for BUU Biogas Upgrading Unit and GEU Grid Entry Unit as required.
· Follow, maintain and improve FIIX for all PPM's, input and detail any repairs or services on machinery to enhance a maintenance regime against each piece of equipment.
· Review and or provide thorough method statements, risk assessments and RAMs and ensure permit to work for non-routine maintenance tasks are reviewed by Site Manager and or Regional Operations Manager
· Build and improve on a thorough planned preventative maintenance program
· Responsible for ordering items to ensure the continuation of works and stock of site assets.
· Support on small welding and fabrication works if qualified to.
· Delivery of update information highlighting maintenance activity to Regional Manager on a quarterly basis for presenting to Operations Director
· Support other sites as required across the STGP Portfolio
· Provide support out of hours as advised by either Site Manager or Regional Operations Manager
· Provide basic training, support and mentoring for site operatives
· Deliver planned improvements and refurbishments as part of the planned maintenance programme
· Communicate with Site Manager and Regional Operations Manager to ensure safe and efficient operation of the site.
· Ensure control measures and SSW are in place when undertaking any maintenance task
· Maintain high standards of house keeping and insure a safe and tidy work areas.
· Undertake any training requirements and renew as identified by your line manager to support you in your role.

Experience:
To succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have experience in:
Education
City and Guilds qualification or similar qualification
Essential
· Mechanical hands-on Engineering
· Working Knowledge of substrate pumps
· Confined Space Training
· Confirmed training in Loler and DESEAR
· Knowledge of a planned preventative system
· Experience in mechanical to electrical conversion works
· Experience of using and fixing pumps, valves, screw conveyors, gearbox drive units, heating circuits, Macerators, Hammermills and Mixers
Desirable
· Fabrication and welding experience
· SCADA knowledge or similar program
· IOSHH certification or equivalent
· Compex and ATEX
· First aid
Practical environmental and working safely knowledge
