What you will be doing:
As a Painter/Prepper we want you to bring your previous experience, skills and knowledge to the team. You'll need to demonstrate your experience in painting and prepping for paint, a wide variety of vehicles, as well as working to meet our customer's needs. If you love to stay busy this role is really for you. You will work within a team of panel beaters, MET fitters and other painters reporting to your Workshop Controller.
Candidates must:
· Have a minimum of 3 years painting experience in the accident repair industry
· Be able to prep vehicles before paint
· Have your own spray guns & air-fed mask
· Have all paint spraying skills, understand colour, colour matching and characteristics of various coatings and finishes
· Have a good knowledge of surface properties and preparation
· Be able to manage your own workload
· Complete necessary paperwork in a timely fashion
· The ability to work on a wide range of makes and models of vehicles
· Good interpersonal skills
· Ability to work to targets and deadlines
· Strong organisational skills and ability to manage own workload
· Good accuracy with paperwork and job cards
· Competency with workshop computer systems
· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
· A positive attitude and team player mindset
· A valid UK driving licence
What will the role look like?
· Reporting directly to the Director, with support from the Workshop Controller
· Carrying out prepping and painting on a wide variety of vehicles
· Managing your own workload while contributing to team workflow
· Using your initiative in a fast-paced environment
· Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
· Upholding manufacturer and BSI 10125 standards
