We are a friendly and growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in Gosport, providing accountancy, taxation and business advisory services to a wide range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in accountancy whilst studying towards their AAT qualification with full support from the practice. This is an office based role.
The job role will include under supervision:
- Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns for clients
- Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assisting in the preparation of self assessment tax returns
- Processing monthly/weekly payroll for clients
- Communicating with staff and clients by telephone, email and in person
- General office administration, including answering telephones and greeting clients as required
Annual leave is 35 days on a full time basis. The role is Monday to Friday with no weekends.
