Salary Banding: £29,000 - £33,000 per annum
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Tutor Assessor to join our team in Larne.
As an Engineering Tutor you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future leaders of the engineering world. Your responsibilities involve inspiring and guiding students through the dynamic principles and applications of engineering.
Crafting comprehensive lesson plans, you will cover engineering disciplines, fabrication to welding, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the field. Providing hands-on experiences, you will facilitate the practical application of theoretical concepts, preparing students for the challenges of the engineering profession.
Fostering an engaging and collaborative learning environment, your duties extend beyond traditional teaching to encourage innovation and critical thinking, instilling in students the skills needed to excel in the ever-evolving world of engineering.
The successful candidate will deliver up to Level 3 Diploma in Fabrication and Welding to students studying on government-funded training programmes Skills for Life and Work (School Leavers) and ApprenticeshipsNI; as well as private students.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the Engineering Industry; and possess the motivation and commitment to see our students succeed on their programme of study. Ideally, they will have good mentoring skills and sound knowledge of working with awarding bodies and delivering qualifications.

Qualifications / Experience:
- Minimum Level 2/GCSE English and Maths qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Fabrication and Welding)
- 2+ years' experience working in the Engineering Industry
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full clean driving licence and access to transport
- Achievement of A1 Assessors Award (Desirable)
- Teaching Qualification - Minimum Level 4 Certificate in Teaching (Desirable)
