We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pre-School Assistant to join our early childhood education team. Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Support the lead teacher in supervising children during playtime, meals, and rest periods.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety policies at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and confidence.
- Maintain a clean, organised classroom environment conducive to learning and play.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and behaviour.
- Support behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies.
- Assist with daily administrative tasks such as record keeping and preparing learning materials.
Requirements
- Government approved Level 3 Qualification in Early Years.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare practices.
- Strong management and leadership skills to support classroom activities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership qualities when needed.
- Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their developmental needs.
- Organised, patient, adaptable, and able to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
