Job Summary
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality care while supporting and guiding Healthcare Assistants during your shift. You will ensure service users receive safe, dignified and person-centred care in line with CQC standards and React HCP Ltd policies.
Key Responsibilities
● Deliver high-quality personal care, promoting dignity, independence and choice.
● Support service users with personal care, nutrition, mobility and medication (where trained and authorised).
● Lead and support Healthcare Assistants during shifts.
● Maintain accurate care records and complete documentation promptly.
● Report concerns, incidents and safeguarding issues in accordance with company policy.
● Communicate effectively with clients, relatives, healthcare professionals and office staff.
● Follow care plans, risk assessments and infection prevention procedures.
● Promote a safe working environment and comply with CQC standards and company policies.
● Provide mentorship and guidance to new care staff where required.
Requirements
● Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Senior Carer in a UK health or social care setting.
● NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
● Good communication and leadership skills.
● Medication administration experience needed.
● A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is needed for community-based roles.
● Right to work in the UK.
