Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at our independent service centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, and suspension work
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs efficiently and accurately
- Replace faulty parts with precision and ensure all work meets safety standards
- Test vehicles post-repair to confirm proper functioning
- Maintain detailed records of all services performed
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics using specialised equipment
- Ensure the workshop remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Details
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.15am - 6.00pm.
- NO WEEKENDS WORKED!!
- Bonus scheme available
- Holiday Allowance: 22 days + bank holidays + Company Pension.
- Contract: Full Time, Permanent
- Required: UK Right to Work & Full UK Licence.
Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
