Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant – The Country Kiwi
The Country Kiwi is looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to join our team.
This is a varied role supporting our kitchen team and helping to keep the café running smoothly. Duties will include washing up, keeping the kitchen clean and organised, basic food preparation, putting away deliveries and assisting the chefs where needed.
This is mainly a daytime role with daytime working hours meaning no late nights! It’s a great opportunity for someone looking for a good work-life balance and a friendly place to work.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Work well as part of a team
- Be able to keep up in a busy café environment
- Have good standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Be happy to help with basic food preparation
- Have a positive, can do attitude
Previous kitchen experience would be helpful but isn’t essential, as training can be provided. We’re more interested in finding someone dependable with a good attitude who is willing to get stuck in.
