Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, and electrical components
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to identify faults accurately
- Carry out welding and heavy lifting as required during repair procedures
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out and parts utilised
- Assist with the installation of new components and equipment on vehicles
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Clear and concise documentation of wok completed
Requirements
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance or repair, with strong mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other repair machinery
- Ability to perform assembly tasks accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of vehicle systems including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Own Tools
- Uk Driving Licence
- Good communication skills
- Level 2/3 qualified
- MOT Licence advantageous but not essential
Hours of Work
Mon - Thurs 08.00 - 17.30
Friday 08.00 - 12.00
** No Weekends**
