Fantastic Opportunity to join our client based in Stanford- le- Hope who specializes in shipping and transporting goods worldwide. This client prides itself in training staff to their full potential, all training will be provided, and health and safety will be practiced throughout the company.
They are looking for an Administrator from a logistic background to provide administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office within a Warehouse setting. The role includes responsibility for managing goods in and out and handling general administrative duties.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Proven experience in an administrative logistic warehouse.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Inbound:
- Schedule and confirm inbound deliveries with suppliers and transport partners.
- Process delivery documentation (GRNs, ASN checks, delivery notes, and purchase orders).
- Liaise with goods-in and stock control teams to ensure accurate receipting of stock.
- Monitor inbound discrepancies, report damages or shortages, and support resolution.
- Maintain accurate inbound records within the WMS and ERP systems.
Outbound:
- Coordinate daily dispatch schedules, ensuring orders are prepared and shipped on time.
- Generate and check picking lists, dispatch notes, and transport manifests.
- Book collections with carriers and issue transport documentation (labels, PODs, etc.).
- Track outbound shipments and communicate delays or issues to customer service.
- Support compliance with export and carrier requirements (if applicable).
General Administration:
- Maintain and update records of stock movements, returns, and adjustments.
- Produce daily/weekly performance and KPI reports for management.
- Assist with stock audits and cycle counts when required.
- Ensure all paperwork and digital records meet company and legal standards.
- Provide administrative cover and support across the warehouse office team as needed.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or transport administration role.
- Strong understanding of goods-in/goods-out processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP platforms (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, etc.).
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based role within a warehouse.
- Standard working hours 6. 00am - 14.00pm week 1
- 14.00pm - 22.00pm week 2
- 37.5 -hour week paid weekly
- £15.48 Per Hour
- Training will be provided
- No qualifications needed for the role.
