Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Yard Operative to join our team , based at our branch in Daybrook. You'll play a vital role in supporting our operations by handling materials and equipment efficiently to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 5.00pm (1 hour unpaid break)
25 Saturdays from 7.00am to 12.00pm
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely to load and unload materials.
- Offer exceptional service to our customers at all times
- Maintain accurate inventory records and organise storage areas.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed during all activities..
Qualifications
- Proven experience within a Building Supplies environment.
- Valid forklift license or certification. (Counterbalance essential, Combi/Teletruck desirable.
- Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to yard work.
