Job Purpose
As a Wayleave Officer, you will be negotiating wayleave agreements and assisting in the preparation of planning applications. This dynamic role involves pre-sales activity representing LightSpeed and promoting the benefits of our network services and solutions to the land/property owner. The aim is to obtain consent to deploy equipment by negotiating wayleaves with landowners and to ensure that we receive legal agreements as early as possible and within agreed project timescales.
You will be mostly liaising with and reassuring potential customers, but also property management companies, public bodies, legal partners and other team members in regard to all wayleave matters.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Communicate with interested parties using standard templates and/or draft appropriately worded ancillary correspondence to progress access agreement applications.
- Negotiating wayleave agreements and easements and other forms of agreement in respect of IoT solutions design and project delivery.
- Interrogate Land Registry and other information sources to establish land or property ownership.
- Escalate issues as they arise to ensure action is taken.
- Forge strong relations with internal and external teams & third parties including Local Authority agencies.
- Enforce Code Powers where necessary.
- Attend joint site surveys with build partner(s) and planning.
- Drive consistency, quality, suitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Support the planning and project department with advice and the timely delivery of consents.
- Be responsible for the central document management, monitoring and reporting on all LightSpeed wayleaves.
- Be responsible for the continuous improvement of our wayleave management processes and tools.
- Responsible for reporting to the business the progress and wayleave metrics in support of project, build or service delivery.

- Excellent customer and stakeholder service skills with evidence of handling a high volume of data and diverse range of customers.
- IT systems competency, including Microsoft Office applications and other management information systems associated with management Network Access Agreements.
Essential qualifications and experience
- Must have at least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in a telecommunications or tech company is desirable.
- GCSE grades A*-C (or equivalent) including Maths and English.

Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
