We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Manage accounts processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage and Xero, to record financial transactions
- Perform data entry tasks related to financial records, maintaining high levels of accuracy and organisation
- Assist with reconciliations of accounts and preparation of financial reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain organised records of all financial documents in compliance with company policies
- Respond to internal queries regarding account status or transaction details
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage and Xero or similar platforms
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Familiarity with financial services industry practices is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently within deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience working with systems like Workday is desirable but not essential
- A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is preferred but not mandatory as training can be given
