Holgate Electrical & Renewables Ltd is a fast-growing electrical and renewable energy contractor based in Brighton. We specialise in commercial and domestic electrical installations, renewable energy systems, EV charging, heating and plumbing services, working across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to work alongside the Director and become a key part of the company's future.

The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business, allowing the Director to focus on business development and growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day scheduling of electricians and subcontractors
- Planning labour and allocating resources across multiple projects
- Managing commercial and domestic electrical contracts from start to completion
- Preparing quotations, estimates and tender submissions
- Ordering materials and liaising with suppliers
- Carrying out site visits and attending client meetings
- Supporting project planning and programming
- Managing project costs, variations and profitability
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Maintaining excellent customer relationships throughout each project
- Overseeing NICEIC paperwork, certification and project documentation
- Working closely with office staff to ensure invoices are issued promptly
- Supporting apprentices and electricians with technical guidance where required
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and business growth
About You
You'll have strong technical knowledge combined with excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ideally you'll have:
- Previous experience managing electrical contracts
- A strong background as a qualified electrician
- Experience pricing electrical work and preparing quotations
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of project profitability
- Experience using Microsoft Office and job management software (Tradify experience would be advantageous)
- Full UK Driving Licence

- 2391 Inspection & Testing
- 18th Edition
- ECS Gold Card
- Experience with Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging
- NICEIC Qualified Supervisor experience (advantageous)
