Lead AV Technician
Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE
Location: Swindon (Base) + up to 70% National Travel
Hours: Mon–Fri, 08:30 – 17:00
The Role Join Scion Interactive to lead cutting-edge AV installations for blue-chip retail and automotive clients across the UK.
The Must-Haves
- 3+ years experience in installing, commissioning, and fault-finding AV hardware.
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home up to 70% of the time (Full UK driving license required).
- Leadership skills to manage sub-contractors, handle clients face-to-face, and make on-site decisions (RAMS/scope changes).
- Technical expertise in Audio/Control Systems and IT networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys, manage first-fix cabling, and execute full AV system installations.
- Oversee on-site teams, ensuring strict Health, Safety, and Quality Control standards.
- Provide advanced programming support and lead SLA service calls.
- Help vet and build a reliable network of local installation engineers.
Bonus Points For:
- Certifications: CSCS/ECS, IPAF, PASMA, First Aid.
- Tech Knowledge: Q-SYS, BI-AMP, Crestron, LCD/LED, Video over IP/Matrix systems, and CMS.
