At Thrive Homecare, we're looking for dedicated and caring individuals to join our team, supporting a young woman with complex learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy within her family home in Canterbury.
The Role at a Glance
Position: Female Care Assistant
Location: Canterbury (ideally suited to candidates based in East Kent)
Shift Patterns:
- Morning Shifts
- Evening Shifts
- Waking Night Shifts
- 8-hour shifts
Pay: £13.50 per hour for morning shifts, 14.50 for evening and waking nights.
Requirements
- Driver with own car
- Experience supporting individuals with complex learning disabilities and autism
- A caring, patient, and person-centred approach
About the Role
You'll be supporting a warm, affectionate young woman with complex learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy as she settles into her newly built annex within her family home.
This is a genuinely rewarding opportunity to help someone navigate an important life transition, providing consistency, reassurance, and person-centred support as she establishes her independence and routine in her new home.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Personal care and medication administration
- Preparing meals and supporting daily routines
- Accompanying her to college and community activities
- Encouraging participation in activities she enjoys, including walks, music, DVDs, and outings
- Creating a calm, structured, and predictable environment
Please note that this is a complex support package, and there may be occasions where the environment is busy or noisy. The successful candidate will be patient, resilient, and comfortable supporting an individual who may require additional reassurance and consistency during periods of heightened emotion or sensory stimulation.

- A driver with their own vehicle
- Passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care
