Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of quality control, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across our operations. Your expertise will help uphold our reputation for delivering safe, high-quality products while supporting our growth trajectory.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, food safety legislation, and customer requirements.
- Be part of the team involved in internal and external audits, including customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance procedures and standards.
- Investigate product quality issues, non-conformances, complaints, and corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyse quality performance data and KPI reporting.
- Work closely with Production and Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage supplier quality performance and support supplier approval processes.
- Ensure product specifications, traceability systems, and documentation are maintained accurately.
- Keep abreast of changes in food legislation and industry best practices.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Quality Management role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, GMP, and food safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
Desirable
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in the beef manufacturing plants.
- Experience leading audits and managing quality systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge of allergen management and food defence requirements.
- Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement training.
