We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Weekend Cook to join our friendly team at Acorn Café, Green Barn Farm.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy café environment and can confidently prepare and serve breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes while maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking food to a high standard.
- Working alongside our existing kitchen team during busy services.
- Assisting with food preparation and stock rotation.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness.
- Helping to keep the kitchen organised and running efficiently.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant or hospitality kitchen is preferred.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy periods.
- A positive attitude and good teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual and hard-working.
- Food Hygiene certificate is desirable but not essential.
Hours
- Saturdays and Sundays. weekdays available too (all ages welcome)
- Approximately 8:30am–4:00pm (earlier starts for occasional event days).
