We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Bodyshop Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy automotive body repair facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining efficient workflow. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bodyshop technicians and support staff to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Oversee the repair process, ensuring all work meets quality standards and customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Manage workflow schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Liaise with insurance companies, customers, and suppliers to facilitate smooth communication and service delivery.
- Conduct regular inspections of work carried out, providing guidance and training where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, labour hours, and other relevant documentation.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise productivity and efficiency within the bodyshop.
Requirements
- Proven experience in vehicle body repairs or a related field, with strong leadership skills.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle repair processes and systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for bodywork tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with team members, clients, and external partners.
- A recognised qualification or certification in automotive repair or bodywork is desirable but not essential.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks associated with vehicle repairs and maintenance.
