STAG Commercial Cleaning Services is looking for a hardworking, reliable person to join our team as a Construction Exterior Cleaning Operative.
This is a hands-on, site-based role cleaning newly constructed buildings, including cladding, facades and external glass.
A large part of the job involves using professional water-fed reach & wash poles for extended periods, often removing construction dust, dirt and residue.
This is more physically demanding than a traditional window-cleaning round, so we're looking for someone who enjoys practical work and is prepared to get stuck in.
What You'll Be Doing
- Cleaning external cladding, facades and glass
- Using reach & wash systems and specialist cleaning equipment
- Removing construction dust, dirt and residue from new-build properties
- Carrying out detailed builders' cleans
- Inspecting your own work and maintaining high standards
- Working independently and as part of a small team
- Following construction-site health & safety procedures
- Looking after your company van and equipment
Who We're Looking For
Attitude and work ethic are more important to us than cleaning experience.
You may suit this role if you have experience in:
- Construction or labouring
- Industrial or exterior cleaning
- Pressure washing
- Grounds or building maintenance
- Other physical, outdoor work
Previous reach & wash experience is useful, but not essential.
You must be comfortable working outdoors throughout the year, including colder and wetter weather. Appropriate PPE and protective workwear are provided.
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Comfortable with a physical outdoor role
- Willing to travel to different sites
- Happy with occasional overnight stays when agreed in advance
A CSCS card is required for the sites we work on. Ideally you will already have one, but we can assist the right candidate with obtaining one.
IPAF, SSSTS and previous exterior-cleaning experience are useful but not essential.

Important
This is not simply a window-cleaning position.
The role can involve using a reach & wash pole for much of the working day and cleaning heavily soiled construction surfaces.
