Platinum Motor Group have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager to join our busy team at our Frome Dealership.
This is a key customer-facing role within our Aftersales operation, ideal for someone who enjoys delivering excellent customer service, keeping a busy workshop running smoothly and supporting a team to achieve high standards.
Working closely with the Service Manager, Technicians Parts & Sales Departments, you’ll help ensure our customers receive a professional, efficient and friendly experience from the moment they book their vehicle in through to collection.

- Listening carefully to customers and ensuring their servicing and repair requirements are fully understood and accurately recorded.
- Keeping customers informed about the progress of their vehicle and clearly explaining work completed, costs and any future requirements.
- Working with the Service Manager and Technicians to maximise workshop capacity and ensure work is scheduled effectively.
- Preparing estimates and ensuring all additional work is correctly authorised before being carried out.
- Identifying opportunities to recommend relevant maintenance, repairs, products and services in a professional and customer-focused way.
- Ensuring job cards, invoices, warranty documentation and customer records are accurate and complete.
- Maintaining customer and vehicle information on the dealership management system.
- Supporting manufacturer recall and warranty procedures.
- Helping to resolve customer queries or concerns promptly, courteously and sympathetically.
- Ensuring payments are handled accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
- Helping maintain a professional, welcoming and well-presented Service Department.
- Building strong relationships with customers and encouraging repeat business.
- Supporting the Service Manager with the smooth day-to-day operation of the department and identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, efficiency and profitability.
What we’re looking for:

- Remain calm and effective when handling customer concerns or complaints.
- Accurately record customer, vehicle and repair information.
