Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients efficiently and accurately
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and storing ingredients properly
- Ensure food safety standards are upheld at all times by adhering to hygiene protocols and proper storage procedures
- Help with meal assembly and serving to ensure timely delivery of high-quality dishes to customers or guests
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying supervisors when stock needs replenishing
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with chefs, cooks, servers, and other staff members
Skills
- Experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards
