Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Shot Blaster to join our client based in Foston (DE65 5PY). This role involves shot blasting large commercial tankers and MOD vehicles using over-the-shoulder shot blasting equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced candidates seeking a long-term position with the potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate over-the-shoulder shot blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare and clean surfaces of large commercial tankers and MOD vehicles.
- Ensure all blasting work meets quality and production standards.
- Carry out equipment checks and maintain a safe working environment.
- Work closely with the Production Supervisor and wider production team.
Requirements
- Previous experience using over-the-shoulder shot blasting equipment is essential.
- Minimum 1 year's shot blasting experience.
- Good mechanical knowledge and practical hands-on skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Available for an immediate start.
Please note: Only candidates with proven over-the-shoulder shot blasting experience will be considered.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 5:00pm-2:00am
- Overtime available
Pay & Benefits
- £16.00 per hour
- Overtime paid at £24.00 per hour for all hours worked over 40 per week
- £100 Shift Allowance for Noon shifts
- On-site parking
- Temporary to permanent opportunity for suitable candidates
