Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This role involves delivering personalised care to clients with diverse needs, including elderly individuals, those with chronic conditions, or people recovering from illness. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life through respectful and professional caregiving. Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or dementia care is highly desirable. All positions are paid and offer an opportunity to make a meaningful difference within the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed, ensuring safety and compliance
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with specialised care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, hospice, or behaviour management
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities using company vehicles where applicable
- Monitor and report on clients’ health status and any changes in condition to relevant healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans meticulously while maintaining confidentiality and respecting clients’ privacy
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing home environments, or specialised dementia and Alzheimer's care is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration, first aid, and basic health & safety procedures
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards elderly or vulnerable individuals
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with mobility support
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties including carrying out visits (Required)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients effectively
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
- Able to work alternate weekends and possibly some evenings
