McCallums Farm Shop & Café is looking for a part-time cook to join our busy kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful setting, preparing traditional home-style meals using quality ingredients.
We’re looking for someone passionate about good food who enjoys working with seasonal produce, and also has a desire to deliver great customer service.
Working days and hours are ideally Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (occasional weekend work too) from 8:30 am to 14:30 pm. However, we can be flexible, and we’re happy to chat about what works best for you.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking food to a high standard.
- Operating & cleaning kitchen equipment.
- Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times.
- Following food safety procedures and best practices.
- Occasional lifting of food boxes / crates.
Requirements
- Experience in a café or commercial kitchen.
- A friendly, yet professional and proactive approach to work.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.
- Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
- Ability to work as part of a small team.
- Have your own transport / reliable means of travel to work.
- Availability for some weekend work.
